The Nordic Council was directed outwards to the Arctic, the Baltic Sea, Europe and Canada. The bridge between Sweden and Denmark has resulted in a major border crossing, which has led to new efforts to remove barriers.  However, the tasks and functions originally planned by the Nordic Council are partially suspended due to significant overlaps with the EU and the EEA. In 2008, Iceland began EU accession negotiations, but decided to cancel them in 2015.  Unlike the Benelux countries, the Treaty on european Union does not provide for any explicit provision that takes into account Nordic cooperation. However, the treaties provide that international agreements concluded by Member States prior to their accession to the Union remain valid even if they violate the provisions of EU law. However, each Member State must take all necessary measures to remedy any differences as quickly as possible. In practice, therefore, Nordic cooperation can only be organised to the extent that it is compatible with EU law.  Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland form the Nordic countries along with Sweden. The Nordic countries have an agreement that says that Nordic citizens have the right to live in the Nordic country they choose.
You don`t need to apply for a residence permit. If you want to live in Sweden, just register with the Swedish tax authorities. The agreement on the resurrection of aliens was signed in Stockholm on 14 July 1952. The agreement could be revoked in the event of war, war risk or exceptional international or national circumstances. In December 1996, the two non-EU countries, Norway and Iceland, signed an association agreement with the signatories of the Schengen Agreement to be part of the Schengen area. Although this agreement never entered into force, the two countries were part of the Schengen area following similar agreements with the EU.  The Schengen Agreement itself was not signed by non-EU states.  This agreement applies to general secondary education and vocational training. 3) For health professionals: most categories of health workers with the permission of Denmark, Finland, Iceland or Sweden are covered by the agreement on a common Nordic labour market for certain categories of health workers and veterinarians.
This agreement grants greater privileges than those provided by the TREATY ON the EEA. On 26 July 2014, Norwegian police suspended the agreement for the first time due to a perceived terrorist threat.  This agreement abolished all passport controls at the Nordic internal borders and obliged the Nordic countries to implement passport control at external borders.
